We are currently looking for volunteers who can do the café pickup run. This takes place between 2pm - 5pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Volunteers may choose to be scheduled on one or all days. The volunteer will pick up unsold food from the café for distribution in the Kairos Free Store. Café pickup volunteers represent Kairos in each café so must be tidy and respectful at all times. Volunteers for this role must hold a full driver’s license.

Volunteer
We are privileged to have a wonderful group of volunteers who make working at Kairos Food Rescue a regular part of their week. We are a fun group and enjoy what we are doing. We always welcome new volunteers and encourage participation, especially for the joy it can bring into your life.
If you can spare the time during our operating hours, please stop in for a visit and to see what we do and where you can assist.
Please do not forget that donations of food or money are regularly accepted.

Warehouse Team
Weekday opportunity sorting donated and rescued bulk food in our warehouse for redistribution to food groups and the Free Store
(Potential availability 10am-2pm weekdays)
Free Store Team
Opportunities on Free Store evenings for people to help distribute food, meet and greet guests and ensure security
(Potential availability 3:30pm-6:30pm Monday, Wednesday or Friday)
Food Collection Team
Assist our drivers as they rescue food from around the city
(Potential availability 7:30am-1pm or 9:15am-1:30pm weekdays)
